Gyeonggi-do (경기도 - 京畿道) is the Korean province immediately surrounding the capital, Seoul. Along with Seoul and Incheon, Gyeonggi-do is the economic, industrial and demographic hub of South Korea where approximately 40% of South Korean residents live. It's heavily industrialized and contains several large cities, most of which are now largely satellite cities for the capital, Seoul.

Suwon, approximately 50 kilometres south of Seoul, is the capital of Gyeonggi-do. Other major cities include: Ilsan, Guri, Seongnam and Bucheon.

Gyeonggi-do's traditional boundary extends into what is now North Korea.
